| Gatan framan við húsið mitt er þakin laufi. Trén eru orðin svolítið rytjuleg en samt finnst mér eitthvað notalegt við þetta haust. Í garðinum syngja þrestirnir á hálfnöktum greinum. Óvenju hlýtt hefur verið í september en mikið hefur rignt. Ég kvíði því svolítið þegar norðangarrinn fer að nísta merg og bein. Þá reyni ég að dúða mig í alls konar ullarfatnað. Hlýir vettlingar, húfa og trefill fyrir andlitinu geta bjargað miklu.
